Laura Calloway, author of The Last Word, has written an article for the ABA's Law Practice magazine about how the use of checklists can improve your practice.
A very important take-away from this piece is that checklists result from thoughtful post-matter analysis and ongoing revision. Checklists are not just "to-do lists", but are works in progress reflecting key steps, pause points, possible problems and solutions, and input from all members of the team.
This piece was inspired by The Checklist Manifesto: How To Get Things Done Right by Atul Gawande.
