  1. Jack - thank you for your compilation of insightful and useful articles, blogs and posts. Of all the LinkedIn posts I scroll through each day, I'm always certain to stop at yours. As the managing partner of a boutique firm in competition with everyone from Big Law to LegalZoom, I've found the "New Normal" discussions to be particularly helpful. I often wake up wondering if I missed the hey day of the gilded age of the legal profession. Cocktail parties? Golf trips and afternoon rounds? Fancy artwork on the walls? Sounds like fun times, but the closest I've come is reading about that life in the fiction aisle.

I always go to sleep with the recognition that it's firms like ours that anticipated change, planned for it, and are capitalizing on being ahead of the competition because we are nimble and we are not cemented in the past. There may not be fancy art in my future, but there is time with my family and time for a round of golf on the occasional weekend. Embrace the new normal. It's not just good for clients. It's good for our profession and long overdue.

    Keep the posts coming!
